Voluntary Work

With my experiences from work, I have been able to offer assistance to my Scout Group and other groups. I have listed a few of them here. In return, these opportunites have given me further experiences which I can bring into play for my work.

Web Design

Using raw HTML coding knowledge, I have developed several websites, including the Stanmore and Harrow Historical Society (www.stanmore-harrow-historical.org.uk/), my own Magpieschest (http://www.magpieschest.co.uk), and this site.
Additionally, using my exposure to blogging I also created (and maintain) the Scout Troop website (http://2leftwellies.wordpress.com).

Training

As a Scout Leader I provided training every week to a group of 10-14 year old young adults. However, I also provided training for adults as part of the Scout Adult training programme.

This training would be delivered in a variety of ways that would engage the particpants, including workshops, discussions, games, 1-to-1 as well as the traditional "show and tell" format.

Management and Finance

Within Scouting I would undertake a number of management functions.

I also held the post of Treasurer for a local Bowling club
